How to identify one?The Great Egret can grow to over three feet tall. It has a wing span of up to fifty five inches. It has white feathers and it's neck is shaped like an S and it's bill is bright yellow. It has long legs and it's feet are black. The males and females look the same. Where do they live? How do they nest? The Great Egret makes it nest on the ground. How do the eggs look?It lays 3-5 eggs. The eggs hatch in 23-26 days. Both parents feed there young . What do they eat? The Great Egret eats fish, lizards, frogs, crayfish, small rodents, and insects.They feed their young frogs, fish, and snakes. What are it's predators? Interesting facts? |
